Radio Stations

At present, there are eight (8) radio stations comprised of seven (7) FM and one (1) AM frequencies operating in the city namely: the DWAM Spirit FM, Baycomms Radio (DWEY-FM), Lyceum Campus Radio (FM), Radyo Natin 91.9 FM, BSU Campus Radio 107.4 FM, DWAL 95.9 FM, UB Campus Radio and the DWAW-AM. These radio stations provide varied entertainment/information programs for the residents of the city and other nearby localities within the province.

Telegraph/Telegram/Messengerial (Courier) Services

The government owned telecommunication office (DOTC) provides the telex and telegraph services. In addition, there are eight (8) more messengerial services operating in the city which include the Philippine Postal Corporation, Universal Storefront Services, JRS Express, WWW Express, LBC, Abest Express, 2GO and M&M Services.

Telephone Systems

The Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT), Digitel Mobile Philippines, Bayan Telecommunication and Globe Telecom Inc., provide landline phone services in the city. Additionally, mobile phone services are presently being provided by Smart, Globe Tel. and Sun Cellular.

Internet Service Provider

Batangas City has also facilities providing the latest communication technology not only nationwide but worldwide as well. Everyone can now avail of internet service right in the comfort of their homes, offices and in the different internet caf├ęs within the city. There are six (6) internet service providers in the city which includes the Smart Communication Inc., PLDT Company, Innove Telecommunications (Globe), Digitel Telecommunications Phils. Inc., Bulahawdotcom/Mozcom Batangas and the Batangas CATV Inc.



All daily circulated national newspapers, tabloids and magazines from Metro Manila are readily available in the city. There are also eight (8) locally published newspapers like the BALIKAS, Diyaryo Veritas, Headlines News Today, Puntong Ala-Eh Newsletter, Tala-Balita, Sun-Star People’s Courier, The Batangas Post and The Southern Tagalog Herald-Batangas which are being circulated regularly.
