Dahilan sa todong pag-iingat at maayos na pangangasiwa ng mga local governments sa Batangas Province, nanatiling ligtas sa African Swine Fever (ASF) ang livestock industry sa probinsiya subalit apektado ang bentahan ng karneng baboy sa palengke ayon kay Moises Dalisay, chairperson ng City Agriculture and Fisheries Council (CAFC). Positibo siya na kapag nanatiling ASF-free ang Batangas City kung saan may kabuuang 2,401 backyard at commercial livestock raisers, tatanghalin itong pinakamalaking supplier ng baboy sa rehiyon.
