The City Government of Batangas joins the celebration of the Bible Week on the last week of January following the resolution of the Sangguniang Panlungsod sponsored by Councilor Claudette Ambida-Alday encouraging the expression of support to the said celebration. According to the resolution, “The City Government of Batangas acknowledges that the socio-economic development cannot be fulfilled by material prosperity alone but by enriching the moral spiritual perspectives of its inhabitants as well, by means of reading and full understanding of the Bible.’

This celebration is spearheaded by the Batangas City Ecumenical Council, Inc. in cooperation with Gideons international which distributed Bibles to city government officials and employees, City Jail, schools and hospitals.
