About 240 Bridging Employment through Skills training (BEST) students graduated on October 29, 2014, majority of whom are already assured of employment.
Malampaya Foundation Inc. which undertakes the BEST Program announced during the graduation ceremony held at the Batangas City Convention Center that 90% of the graduates of Electrical Installation Maintenance passed the final interview for international employment while more than half of the graduates of Pipe- Fitting were hired at Malampaya, Palawan.
The graduates trained in Electrical Installation Maintenance, Piping Insulation, Pipe Fitting and Scaffolding in BAGMET Training Center, Concept Institute for Career, Enhancement Inc., and JCI General Services.
BEST aims to equip the marginalized sector with skills training to promote productivity and employment. Former Mayor and ABC Pres. Dondon Dimacuha who represented Mayor Eddie Dimacuha as the keynote speaker as well as Malampaya Foundation, Inc. Executive Director Karen Agabin and PESO Manager Noel Silang encouraged the graduates to strive harder for a better future. They said that the key to success is “sipag at tyaga”. They also inspired them to be self-reliant and be a productive force of the community.
