CLB Batch 2019 receive their diplomas

About 277 graduates Batch 2019 of the Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas received their college diplomas in the 12th Commencement Exercises, June 14, at the Batangas City Convention Center.

Six graduated cum laude, namely Lou Karren Morales Amorganda, Nico Comia Hernandez, Efren Ebreo Manalo Jr., Aron Jei Villanueva Rosales, Sheila Mae Mircoleta Cortez, and Raymond Belda Bombase.

Twelve were awarded with distinctions.

The 12th Commencement Exercises shone with the theme CLB: Sharpening Intellect, Refining Character.

There were 150 students who finished Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with majors in Marketing Management and Operations Management’; 109 completed Bachelor of Elementary Education major in Content Course; and 18 earned their diplomas in Information and Communications Technology.

Mayor Beverley Dimacuha who is the chairman of the Board of Trustees , graced the event together with other city and school officials and department heads of the city government of Batangas.

In her welcome address, College Administrator Dr. Lorna Gappi said “As graduates of CLB, you have what it takes to be uniquely distinguished as a competent professional with admirable skills and a strong sense of character. Continue to be a man for others, always grateful to your roots and faithful to your Motherland. You may stand proud on the pedestal of success in the future, but you must also stoop down in humility, always thankful to this country, and to the city, that is instrumental to your success, and thus, always ready to serve it with honor and gratitude.”

Dr. Amelia Biglete, director 1V of Commission on Higher Education Region 1V told the graduates in her commencement address, “Seeing you all ready in this graduation rites is a manifestation that CLB has been continuously fulfilling its mission as an institution of high learning producing competent and productive individuals who will be active participants in the world of work, and hopefully, our future leaders in nation- building.”

“As you leave the portal of your alma mater, CLB, in line with the institution’s core values, we will like to see you in the future as professionals who are passionate to providing quality service to your clientele or employers, educated individuals who will keep an eye to social, ethical and cultural consciousness, integrity and discipline and committed to serving your family, fellowmen and your country. These are expectations which we would like you to achieve as you go on in the pursuit of your life ahead. Look ahead, move forward and envision your future that is bright, meaningful , and worth every step, every pain and every joy,” she stressed.
