MANDATE
The Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Batangas, being the legislative body of the City, shall enact ordinances, approve resolutions, and appropriate funds for the general welfare of the city and its inhabitants under the general welfare clause under Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991, and in the proper exercise of its corporate powers. It shall establish a local government structure that is accountable, efficient, and dynamic operating under a quality policy mechanism and supporting the Vision and Mission of the Sanggunian.

We commit to transparency, accountability, and participatory governance, ensuring that every voice is heard and every sector is represented.
VISION
We envision a future where the Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Batangas is at the forefront of innovative governance, contributing to the City's reputation as a beacon of good local legislation.
