Batangas City delegation nag-uwi ng awards sa 2019 World Robot Games

Iprenesenta ng delegasyon ng Batangas City ang kanilang napanalunang medalya at tropeo sa 2019 World Robot Games noong August 29 –September 1 sa Thailand sa Plaza Mabini matapos ang Monday flag-raising ceremony ng mga City Hall employees.

Ang delegasyon ay binubuo ng limang mag-aaral mula sa public high schools sa lungsod kasama sina DepEd OIC-Batangas City Schools Superintendent Dr. Donato Bueno, Asst. City Schools Superintendent Rina Ilagan, Chairman, Curriculum Implementation Division, Dr. Socoro Comia at Education Program Supervisor- Science, Dr. Rowena Cabanding.

Naging over-all 2nd runner up- Sumobot 1 kg Double RC si Dave Brian Panganiban ng Pinamukan Integrated School kung saan nanalo sya bilang 2nd place Sumobot 1 kg (Auto)- Arena 2; 4th place Sumobot 3 kg (RC)- Arena 6 at top 8 naman sa Robot Rugby 1 kg (Team).

Over-all 2nd runner up Sumobot 1 kg Double RC at top 8 Robot Rugby 1 kg (team) si Jacob Dela Roca mula rin sa Pinamukan Integrated School. Sila ay kapwa sinanay ni Maricel Josue.

Dalawang mag-aaral ng Batangas National High School ang nakakuha ng Performance Award. Sila ay sina Glenn Guinoban na naging 2nd place sa Sumobot 3 kg (Auto)- Arena 8; 3rd place Sumobot 3 Kg (RC) Arena-2at 2nd place Sumobot Double 1 kg (RC)- Arena 5, at James Michael Magnaye na top 8 Robot Rugby 1 kg (team) at 4th place- Sumobot 1 kg- Arena 6. Naging coach nila si Ronald Calderon.

Performance Award din ang naiuwi ni Cyrus Janri Driz mula sa Banaba West Integrated School dahil nanalo siya ng 3rd place Sumobot 1 kg (Auto)- Arena 5; 3rd place Sumobot 1 kg (RC); 4th place Sumobot 3 kg (RC) –Arena 4; 2nd place Sumobot Double 1 kg (RC)-Arena 5 at top 8 Robot Rugby 1 kg (Team). Siya ay sinanay ni Mary Grace Mayuga.

Nag-qualify ang delegasyon sa world competition na ito dahil sa kanilang outstanding performance sa National Robotics Competition (NRC), February 4, 2019 sa Iloilo City kung saan dalawang championship ang kanilang naiuwi at 2nd placer sa iba’t ibang kategorya ng kumpetisyon.

Ayon kay Dr. Cabanding malaki ang suporta ni Mayor Beverley Dimacuha sa Robotics. Naglaan aniya siya ng pondo para makabili ng robots ang mga paaralan na siyang ginagamit sa mga pagsasanay at kumpetisyon. (PIO Batangad City)
