Government employees sumailalim sa safety training

Sumailalim sa limang araw na seminar tungkol sa Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) Training ang may 30 empleyado ng City Engineer’s Office (CEO), City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO), at Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) sa Teachers Conference Center (TCC) noong May 6-10.
Ang nasabing seminar ay mandatory para sa mga safety officers, safety representatives ng mga construction companies, technical employees, yuong mga nasa electrical planning, maintenance, at architech. Tinalakay dito ang key OSH concepts, principles and practices na masari nilang i applay sa kanilang trabaho.
Ayon kay Liberty Navarro, sales marketing executive ng Trainovate na siyang nagsagwa ng training na ito at isang private entity na accredited ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) para sa ganitong pagsasanay, layunin nito na magkaroon pa ng dagdag kaalaman ang mga concerned government employees tungkol sa safety at health upang lalo pa maitaas ang antas ng kanilang serbisyo publiko partikular sa construction ng mga infrastructure projects.
Kabilang sa mga tinalakay ang excavation and demolition safety, safety of construction machineries tulad ng cranes at mobile equipment, safety of site premises, safety in the use of temporary structures, hand and power tools, fall protection while in working at heights, environmental concern at waste disposal on site. Kasama din ang use of interventions kagaya ng tool box meetings, job hazards analysis, mga batas at latest issuances sa OSH.
Ayon kay Electrical Engr. Armando Plata ng CEO, layunin nilang maging ligtas at healthy ang Batangas City pagdating sa woking condition ng mga empleyado na nasa construction sa pamamagitan ng application ng mga safety rules and regulations. (PIO Batangas City)
